The Veronica Mars Movie continues to shoot in Los Angeles as new photos show behind-the-scenes details.
Today, The Veronica Mars Movie was shooting on the Santa Monica pier as seen by recent photos. The pier is a popular tourist destination complete with restaurants, a romantic pier, carnival games, and a Ferris wheel to boot. What do you think the film was shooting there?
The main photo from today reveals Veronica (Kristen Bell) talking with Vinnie Van Lowe (Ken Marino), who looks to be his usual smarmy self. Do you think he would be dressing the same way if he was sheriff? Are you excited to see Marino back as Vinnie Van Lowe?
Executive producer Rob Thomas pleaded with Kickstarter fans earlier this week to help keep the film’s plot under wraps by not tweeting or photographing things on set. Thomas recognized fans’ excitement for the film, but emphasized the importance of secrecy.
“On the other hand – even as we work to keep you informed and involved in our production – we also want to have a few surprises left when you watch the movie. Unauthorized set photos make this tremendously difficult. Actually, scratch that. They make it impossible.”
