Rob Thomas, creator and director of Veronica Mars, spoke with us about the Veronica Mars novels and the movie being a dream come true.
At the New York premiere earlier this week, Rob Thomas spoke about the Veronica Mars novel, Veronica Mars: The Thousand-Dollar Tan Line, featuring a key person from Veronica’s past, “one of the major people,” according to Thomas. Could it be the return of Kane? Duncan Kane that is? Thomas wouldn’t give any clues but considering Logan, Mac, Wallace and Dick are all in the novel it seems like Veronica may be sticking around Neptune. As an added bonus, the audiobook is being read by Kristen Bell.
Rob Thomas admits that he thought using Kickstarter to fund the movie would be crazy considering how much money was needed. He is thrilled with how everything turned out and feels that having the fans involved makes the movie more special.
