Rob Thomas revealed the full schedule of events for the week leading up to the Veronica Mars movie starting on March 6. Check out what other surprises he had for us.
Be prepared, Marshmallows, Veronica Mars is going to be everywhere you turn very soon. Rob Thomas announced to Kickstarter backers that starting on March 6 the cast will be participating in a different online event every day leading up to the film’s premiere – dubbing it Veronica Mars Countdown Week.
The full schedule includes events like “Ask Logan and Piz” and “Breakfast With Kristen Bell.” You can go to the Facebook page for a full list of events and how you can participate as well.
Social media will also be jam packed as the Veronica Mars Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr accounts will be blowing up your feeds with notifications.
In case you missed it, the first two minutes of the film was released by Warner Brothers, which Rob describes as the perfect way for non-Marshmallows to get some background. “It’s designed like a prologue, to help catch new fans up on the basics,” he says.
Finally, international fans received great news when Thomas was able to reveal that select theaters in Germany will be screening the movie on March 13 and Swedish backers will be able to attend a free (!!) screening in Stockholm.
It can’t be said enough: We literally cannot wait for the release in only 12 days. However, all this news about the social media takeover is making the wait so much sweeter.
Veronica Mars hits the big screen on March 14. Keep tuning in to Hypable for all the coverage we have planned for the release.
