It’s been quite an exciting week for Veronica Mars movie news. A new clip from the movie, a beautiful Entertainment Weekly cover, and more has been released.
We’re a little over a month away from the highly-anticipated premiere of Veronica Mars, which means we’re going to start getting tons of updates from Rob Thomas. In case you’ve missed any of it, here’s a round-up of a few of the most exciting updates that we learned within the past week.
‘Veronica Mars’ is 100% finished
As of Wednesday, February 12, Veronica Mars is now completely finished! Rob Thomas announced this fun tidbit through a Kickstarter email yesterday evening, noting that the Kickstarter campaign was launched exactly 11 months ago, on March 12, 2013. What an awesome coincidence!
Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring on the cover of Entertainment Weekly
Veronica Mars stars, Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring, are on the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s Valentine’s Day issue which will hit newsstands this Friday, February 14 (which makes sense, don’t you think?). You can see the amazing cover (complete with a ton of marshmallow cuteness) below.
As Rob Thomas put it, in an update to Kickstarter backers, “That’s right: ten years after Veronica Mars first appeared on television, and eight years after getting canceled, we’ve finally landed the cover story in Entertainment Weekly.”
The issue gives a first look at the movie and also includes musings on the future of Veronica Mars and if the now franchise will ever return to our screens, big or small. You can check out a small portion of the article on Entertainment Weekly’s website now, with the full interview coming tomorrow.
A new ‘Veronica Mars’ clip, plus a behind-the-scenes Entertainment Weekly photoshoot video!
Along with the magazine cover, Entertainment Weekly also unveiled two videos relating to Veronica Mars, the first being a clip from the movie itself. In the clip, we see Veronica and her dad engaging in their usual witty banter. We then see two of our favorite secondary characters, Mac and Wallace, arrive at the Mars household to take Veronica to their high school reunion and give her a bit of surprising news. You can check out the clip below.
The second clip is a Facebook exclusive that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the Veronica Mars Entertainment Weekly photoshoot. This video shows the cast members interacting during the shoot and talking about their loyal Marshmallow fanbase.
The video also shows Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring re-enacting one of the steamiest and most talked-about scenes in Veronica Mars history. You can access this video by visiting Entertainment Weekly’s Facebook page. Trust us when we say it’s a can’t miss.
